The Kibeho bracelet is made from red jasper and accented with African bloodstone.  African bloodstone was called "the stone of the martyrs" during the Middle Ages, and its spots of red were associated with Christ's blood at the crucifixion.

With 49 stones divided into seven sections of seven, this bracelet functions as a seven-week Journey bracelet to accompany you towards a goal, or as a Seven Sorrows Chaplet bracelet.  Simply move the charm to track your progress as you journey or pray.

This bracelet:

  • is beaded on durable memory wire with adjustable shape and size
  • is made with 6mm semiprecious gemstones, for a bracelet that is both lightweight and stands up to the demands of daily life
  • features a cross fixed to one end (Seven Sorrows only -- see last image of white bracelet for example) and a moveable charm that can act as a placeholder during your journey or prayer.  Choose your medal for the charm: Bronze wing; Dragonfly; Sorrowful Mother; Jesus with the Crown of Thorns; or a Miraculous Medal.

The Seven Sorrows devotion dates back to the 13th century but has gained special attention following the apparitions of Kibeho, Rwanda in the 1980s.  This rosary, or chaplet focuses on the suffering of Mary in union with that of Her Son.
